Bunny Brunch Birthday Theme
“Some Bunny is Turning One!”
A bunny brunch for our almost one year old daughter! We will be on vacation during her actual birthday and Easter too, so we thought we would celebrate both with a Springy bunny theme, adding in an Easter egg hunt too. I knew I wanted it to be rustic, so I made the fresh wild tulip arrangements, then added scattered moss and rice flowers around them. I used wooden elements by adding in the eggs and bunnies, and had to use fresh carrots too (didn’t even wash the dirt off of them.. see rustic).
The bunny table runner from World Market was a last minute find, and the perfect touch.
The cake and mini cupcakes are Lemon Poppy, and are from a local vegan bakery here in Jacksonville called Sweet Theory. We shaped the cute bunny ear topper out of twine! We played off of the brunch theme and served fresh fruit, carrots, fresh donuts my sweet sister made morning of, croissants, pancakes cut into bunnies (of course), blueberry muffins and little candies, like jelly beans and bunny crackers. Everything on the table is vegan :)
I ordered a bunny piñata, but received a silver tassel chandelier instead and didn’t realize until 1 day prior to party time, so if I wanted a bunny piñata at the party I was going to have to DIY it. I love how it turned out, I think it’s better than the one I originally ordered and it was easy to make too! We filled the piñata with single, individually packaged candy, and small things like stickers, rings, crafts and putty. The piñata and the Easter egg hunt were both a hit, the kids used the Peter Rabbit bags to collect their eggs in.
We sent our guests home with organic carrot seed packets as a thank you for coming!
I hope this party brings you as much joy as it brought me, we’re still enjoying the tulip arrangements now, a few days later and all the bunny decor is still up.
To make them, grab clippers, a few floral pin frogs here, a shallow dish - add water, and fresh colorful tulips.
